You Vs. McIlroy by Oakley

When golf meets interactive technology and is powered by one of the coolest brands in the outdoor wear market you get the new Oakley You Vs Rory McIlroy video.

I’d always dreamed about having a round of golf with a top golfer but alas my handicap has always been such that the chances of that are slim to none, but I’ve discovered the next best thing! I went to http://youvs.oakley.com where you can take your chances against Rory McIlroy, one of the most exciting golfers on the current circuit and this year’s US open champion. You can also access the game from Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/oakleyeurope

The interactive golf game is the second in the series, the first featuring Tour De France sprint hero Mark Cavendish. There are five videos altogether in the series where you can take on pro athletes in a head to head challenge including pro rally driver, Sebastien Loeb, Pro cricketer Kevin Pietersen and pro mountain biker Cedric Gracia.

The game itself is easy to follow, only takes a few minutes and is very addictive. It can also be personalised with pictures and names when you login with your facebook account when prompted which adds to the fun!

The aim of the game is to beat McIlroy over 18 holes by making the right choices. Your first option is to choose your very stylish pair of Fast Jacket eyewear which very cleverly changes your outward view of the course. You then watch as you head off over the course with the scores tied after the 17th hole. This is where it gets interesting. At the 18th you have to make your decisions which will see you lose, draw or win against the pro golfer. If you win not only do you get the bragging rights but you also get entered into an exclusive competition where the winner will meet the man himself and caddy for him over 18 holes.

If you’ve got a spare few minutes I’d definitely recommend having a go – it’s interactive, fun and there’s a great competition prize at the end if you make the right choices! You can also take a look and copy McIlroy’s style and shop for yourself at http://www.oakley.com where you can also get the new Fast Jacket sunglasses featured in the game.
